After getting a quick (but grande) coffee at the Starbucks inside Treasure Island we were picked up at 7:30 am outside our Hotel for our Excursion to the Valley of Fire.

The Valley of Fire is a National Park area where the rock has a very high iron content which makes it red. It must be very beautiful when the sun is out and there s the contrast between the red rock and the blue skies…. 

You guessed it; it was cloudy… Yesterday LV saw the largest amount of rainfall since 1957… Luckily it was dry, but as the pictures and video (yes, take your pick of low, medium or high quality) will show, there were many clouds about…

We got back to the hotel at 1:30, had a nap and went to the Sahara hotel where Michel did some racing in a Nascar simulator. At 5 pm we met up with Arnold & Flo at the Las Vegas Hilton, where the Star Trek Experience is located. There are 2 rides and we did them both! The 4d Borg experience was definitely the better of the 2. After we had some Klingon cocktails we had dinner at the Garden of the Dragon restaurant, which had Michel’s favorite Chinese gourmet: duck
